Title: Oskar Oskar (An Honest Man)
Director: Mats Arehn
Runtime: 1 hour 28 minutes
Year: 2009

Cast: Björn Kjellman, Livia Millhagen, Anki Lidén, Marianne Hedengrahn, Jonas Falk, and Palle the Parrot.

Oskar and his parrot, Palle, live together in an elegant Stockholm apartment. The former banker has isolated himself in grief following the death of his beloved wife, Karin, who was killed by a drunk politician named Ekdahl. Oskar has become frozen in his sorrow and believes a moral decay is spreading across the country.

He broods over a plan for revenge, practicing his marksmanship regularly. However, various circumstances keep upending his plans.

Björn Kjellman is excellent in his role in this slow-paced film, which features beautiful cinematography by Mats Olofson.

Editor’s Note (2026): The full title emphasizes the moral dilemma at the heart of the story. While technically a "well-made" film with a strong lead, the pacing is undeniably leaden. It captures the "stiffness" of grief perhaps a bit too effectively for the average viewer. Iva’s polite praise for the cinematography suggests she found the viewing experience more of an endurance test than a drama.

Titel: Oskar, Oskar – en hederlig människa
Manus & Regi: Mats Arehn

Stop missing out on the biggest metabolic advantage of Extra Virgin Olive Oil! If you use EVOO for weight management and satiety, you must understand the science of timing. This video reveals the single best time, backed by GLP-1 research, to consume raw EVOO to maximize appetite control and optimize your blood sugar response.

👉 THE NIGHTTIME PROTOCOL: Maximize your EVOO benefits around the clock! The Metabolic Mechanism: Why Timing Matters

For those interested in the deep science behind this timing protocol, the goal is not simply calorie counting, but hormonal optimization for spontaneous appetite control.

Consuming Extra Virgin Olive Oil 15-20 minutes pre-meal triggers the powerful release of GLP-1 (Glucagon-Like Peptide-1) from the gut. This hormone accomplishes two crucial tasks: Increased Satiety: GLP-1 signals fullness to the brain earlier, resulting in spontaneous lower total calorie consumption during the main meal—a key strategy for weight management. Blood Sugar Control: GLP-1 also slows gastric emptying, which delays the absorption of glucose into the bloodstream. This leads to a smoother, better blood sugar

response over the following two hours. This timing protocol is designed to use EVOO as a metabolic pre-load for maximum weight and blood sugar control..

Because..timing matters
