It is never too late to start over!

A group of retirees from grey England spot an enticing advertisement for a retirement home at a luxury hotel in Jaipur, India. Though they are strangers to one another, they pack their bags for various reasons and set off on a journey.

Evelyn is seeking companionship after the death of her husband; Judge Graham is returning to India to settle an unfinished love affair from his past; Mrs. Donnely is there for hip surgery; Norman is looking for one last grand romantic adventure; Madge hopes to find a wealthy man; and the couple Jane and Douglas are fleeing the state of elderly care in their homeland.

Upon arrival, the group must rely on Graham's prior knowledge of the area to navigate via Tuk-Tuk to the Marigold Hotel, as no staff is there to meet them at the airport. The hotel has certainly seen better days, but the young host Sonny promises that renovations are imminent. Most of the group settles in comfortably, seduced by the country's warm atmosphere. Others find love. Because it is never too late in life to start over!

An entertaining, beautiful, and perfectly cast film.
