Dramakomedi
Betyg:

A serious comedy by Herngren and Holm featuring a brilliant performance by Bibi Andersson. The film is definitely worth watching!

The film revolves around three sisters. One is engaged to an ambitious young man; they've decided to wait to have children, but a brief encounter with a balloonist leaves her pregnant. The eldest sister enjoys financial security and a loving marriage but struggles with infertility.

The youngest is head-over-heels for a petty gangster currently serving time; she faithfully waits, with their child, for his release and for life to return to normal.

The parents, played excellently by Bibi Andersson and Gösta Ekman, are in their mid-60s—tired and weathered by life. When the three sisters visit the summer house, the mother bakes spettekaka because she thinks it's expected, though the children eat it only out of duty. On the other hand, Mom is good to have around when the middle daughter suddenly lands a role in a TV soap opera.
