At the Department Store, the completely flipped-out CEO Maj (Christina Schollin) reigns supreme, while middle manager Karin (Alexandra Rapaport) takes care of most things and tries to sort out the mess that Maj has created. Karin is the first to arrive at work and the last to leave. She carries a heavy load without ever receiving the slightest recognition from the CEO, who cannot even keep track of Karin's first name.

The staff includes: a "well-being fascist," a visually impaired woman who refuses to wear glasses, a receptionist who handles customer complaints as personal tragedies, an advocate for high culture in the book department, and three generations of women dwelling on their own problems in the TV department. Also featured is a clerk who constantly insults customers and exploits a vulnerable, single colleague with five children; the luxury wife Louise in the toy department, favored by Maj and dumped by her husband; Anne-Marie and Rose-Marie in cosmetics who fight constant duels; the mad tormentor "Richter" prowling the store; and the perpetually sidelined intern, Alice.

Absurd, crazy, and entertaining.
